The British cured meat scene has exploded in popularity in the last decade and is now widely regarded to be up there with the best charcuterie in the world. Cannon & Cannon have invited every producer in the UK to submit their finest cuts to be judged by the expert panel administered independently by the Guild of Fine Food. At the British Cured Meat Festival we will see the final round of judging happen live with the 40 best cuts that have made it through to the final battling to be crowned their Category Champion.
In the second session, we will welcome Simon Rimmer the TV Chef (and star of the last series of Strictly!) to host the awards ceremony where the winners will be announced and winning producers will be crowned – the true and undisputed kings and queens of British cured meat!
Expect tears and speeches and trophies and celebrations galore!
